bob's your uncle.after a 24 hour flight, accompanied by some severe jet lag, joxo and i finally arrived in the land down under. and it's dope. kinda like canada. but canada in the twilight zone. well a hotter canada with a good accent and a lot of little things that are able to kill you. i read recently that australia happens to have the most venomous species of all things dangerous in the world (or something crazy like that).
the first day we were here, we took a trip to the southern tip of the country. nice place. we went on a tree walk, which consisted of a bunch of suspended bridges that gradually ascended into the heights of the trees (really, really BIG trees).
upon my insistent request, we also visited a petting zoo. it was probably the most excited i've been in a long time. we even got to go into the fenced-in areas and pet and feed the animals. the highlight was the sleepy koala bears and the little joeys.
this is taking forever because i'm using dial up internet. ya, dial up. it's like putting your brain in a time-warp back to 1997. so of course the photos won't upload.
happy 2009. we spent the first day with beach beers. it was bomb.
