throwing myself off a cliff.
it's not a poetic metaphor. it's what i did yesterday. a friend and i heard that there are some cliffs to jump off. and i remember seeing some kids cliff jumping last summer. so we decided to check it out. i had expectations of some nice 50 foot cliffs because yellowknife is pretty much one big rock in the middle of nowhere. but the cliffs were really small. so we jumped for awhile and then went home. it was good to be in the water. i've hardly been swimming all summer. here are some videos of the event:

That's pretty cool, I'd be scared shitless! As you may have noticed, I didn't even play in the pool last LR.

Okay, please say that cliff turned in where you were... cause the back flip seemed awfully close to the cliff. I'm totally gonna be the mom who puts her kid in a plastic bubble... *heart still racing* (thats if I have kids of course).
